Fantastic Four Reward Values

Well, it being the last day I figured I would give my input on the value of the upcoming rewards for the Fantastic Four event. Marvel War of Heroes events appear to always offer rewards that are nice compared to other TCG, and in this case they are some of the nicest.

Marvel War of Heroes The Master Dr. Doom:

Marvel War of Heroes Guide Doctor Doom

Dr. Doom is the top reward and currently I would estimate that he will be going for close to 400PP each based on what I've seen people offer thus far. At those prices...sell him. He is a great card no doubt, the best for some time probably, but the deck price to make him effective is too high.

To put it into perspective. You will need five Tactic Villains cards to get the most out of him (Tactics boosts + Wild Villains skill), which means you will wither need five of him, or three Dr. Doom and two Magneto wings. Doom and Magneto are the two most expensive cards in the game making the deck cost about 2800ish PP.

For that amount of PP, you could have Five Legend Spideys with close to 1500PP to spare and there is NO defense deck that can beat Five Legend Spideys. This makes it absolutely pointless to pick up a Doom deck over Spidey.

Marvel War of Heroes Oathbound Silver Surfer:

Marvel War of Heroes Guide Silver Surfer

Silver Surfer is the 'runner up' of rewards. Of course the amount of them will be abundant since 3400 will be given out for 301-2000, and another 3000 will be given out for 2000-5000. On top of this, another 100 will be given out to all members of each top 100 orders, so about another 3000-3500. This makes for close to 10,000 Surfers being on the market, or 5,000 UR+ Oathbounds once they are all combined.

Now, the cards skill is awesome and it fits nicely in bruiser decks which have recently become popular as a result of the inexpensive cards. Because of this I would estimate that it sells for 20-25 just because of the sheer number of them. Anybody paying over 30 for them should just wait a week or two, because high level players will be looking to sell and there are close to 10,000 of them.

Marvel War of Heroes Black Leopard Black Panther:

Marvel War of Heroes Guide Black Panther

So, Black Panther will be the interesting card. I recommend that players max him and combine him to his final form if they can in preparation of the next event. Black Panther's value will be completely determined by what the upcoming event is. If the next event is a raider event again, you can expect Black Panther's to sell for 10-15PP each. If it's a SHIELD training siege card, don't expect to get much more than 5-6PP out of it.

Marvel War of Heroes Red in the Ledger Black Widow:

Red in the Ledger Black Widow won't be worth much at all. She will be so common that the idea of getting much more than 1-2PP each out of her would surprise me. Even as an event card most players will be pushing to acquire Panthers leaving Widow in the dust.

  1. A little off topic, but if I boot someone from my alliance while it's still calculating the rewards, does that player still get the alliance reward they earned? I have some low defense players who participated in the FF raid, but will drag us down in PvP. I don't want to screw them out of the rewards they earned, but as soon as the training event starts I can't drop them.

    1. I believe they still get rewards. I had left my order before an event results were finished calculating and still got mine in the previous raid event.

  2. Wanted to ask if its worth trading 2 pcs of Black Panther for a UR Spd Card. Dont k ow what exactly but that's the idea (Im about to find out soon). Will I be making more personal points if I have that or is it better off with high lvls for the alliance ranking? Havent done Training events before so I am yet to discover. Thanks

  3. Oops was wrong. Expected too much Lol. He was trading maxed Ssr x-23 / Ssr sabretooth. Still confused if what will be best.

    1. Haha, I was going to say if somebody was willing to trade an UR for 2 Black Panthers jump on it.

The Black Panthers will probably be wall breaker cards...so if you're focused on Speed, trading them isn't too big of a deal. Personally though with the upcoming event, I would want something a little extra.

  4. Also a little bit off topic. By now we all have 2 hulkbuster iron mans. They are S Rares and can therefore be evolved to SS Rare. But are they worth the effort? It seems a rather weak card.

    1. I'm using mine as cards to skill up others. They are about the equivalent of a poor rare in power.

    2. I had some kid in my Alliance try to trade one for my fully boosted and mastered S-Rare Sabretooth. After I got done laughing I almost booted him. I'm going to enact a No-stupid-trades rule after this raid.

Out of curiosity - are you fusing or boosting the Hulkbusters any before feeding the other cards, or just feeding them as is?

    3. I fused it so it wouldn't take up as much space. I'm just going to Nom Nom it when I get a couple more Rares to join the group.

My team members get a two shot rule on stupid trades then they get tossed off my team. If it was an alliance member...I don't know. Either A) He's stupid enough to think it was equal, which is bad. or B) He was intentionally trying to scam me, which is worse.

    4. Cool - then I'm going to fuse them and put a couple commons into it for good measure. It's time I clear out all the Rares I have clogging my inventory. I held onto them for potential trades or for fusing for decks (I only keep the rares you list in your Best Rare SPD/TAC/BRU Deck articles), but honestly they'd be better served getting my main deck up to full power.

About the bad trades - I feel the same way. The guy in question has been a good contributing member so far, with solid donations and activity in raids - so I'm hesitant to drop him. He could just be young. I'll give him a pass this time.

    5. Yeah, rares aren't really worth anything anymore other than feeders for skills. They really help low level players but the high level players can't even donate them to low level players in their Order because of the long waits and the fact that most players with an abundance of rares aren't connected with the players that need them.

    6. Thanks for all the feedback! I've got a free team member slot if you're willing to add me. Send me a rally!

  5. Lucarda, props on the awesome sight you are a great informer.

What do you suppose the value of a ssr anhilus is? Enuff to rope me a oathbound surfer or do i need to offer more? Thnx for your thoughts

    1. Gonna need more for an Oathbound. The issue is that Annhilus is a weaker Juggernaut while Oathbound is a weaker Pheonix. Phoenix goes for 30 pretty quick, Oathbound will probably go for 25 Pretty Quick. Annhilus...normally gets about 10-15 depending on the buyer.

Two Annhilus at least for an Oathbound.
