The reason for this comes down to price, cost per use, and overall usefulness. Now, I know some people don't care about price, but it really is kind of a big deal. UR Cyclops are going for absurd prices at the moment and you can get two Xavier for less than one Cyclops. Since two Xavier bring you to 1800% boost and one Cyclops brings you to 1000% there is very little reason to go the Cyclops route. In fact, two Cyclops only bring you to 2000% boost. Making it only slightly better than Xavier.
Now, cost per use also plays a role. Assuming you have 320 attack power, which would be a significant amount. You can attack 20x with Cyclops (we'll ignore the+5s for easy math). So lets say a total of 40000% in boost. With Xavier you can attack 22 (with 12pts to spare) times, once again ignore the +5s. This would be a total of 39600% in boost. With higher stats Cyclops is the clear winner here, but personally not by enough to warrant paying double.
The final kicker though is the overall usefulness. Ultra Rare Cyclops has a Degrade to opponents attack and defense of tactics alignment cards. I believe this is the worst skill out of any UR card in the game at the moment. Xavier has an attack boost to tactics alignment, the best buff for offensive tactics decks.
Overall, I wouldn't even risk picking up an UR Cyclops for fear of having to try to get rid of it after the event is over. Xavier is hands down the best X-Men Raider Card.
You've been warned about buying Cyclops!
problem is none of my friend or guildie have 1 at the moment. been very unlucky with packs, seem to give more uncommons then usual. any trading outside of the circle won't make it in time before event ends :(
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who will be finishing his before the home stretch of the event, I plan on borrowing his to ensure I hit a decent rank in the event. I get the feeling that a lot of players aren't spending any PP on the event yet since they are fusing and boosting their event cards at the moment and waiting for the home stretch. I think in the next few days we will see a lot of players jump in rankings.
DeleteHey I just started marvel today and I pulled the UR Spider-Man.. I'm just what's the best thing I could do with it
ReplyDeleteShould I wait out for the bazaar or should I sell it only? I would love to start this game out and use this as capital.
DeleteIf Rage taught you nothing, Bazaar drops cards values :P
DeleteUR spider man, grats, that's the best card in game at the moment. Currently I've seen its price go up and down. The most I've seen it realistically go for is about 170PP, the least I've seen it go for is about 120PP. Realistically expect to get about 140PP for it. With a 140PP, you could buy a full SR (high rare equivalent) deck and have PP left over. Or you could trade four SSR if you have the right sellers. I would recommend you get in tune with prices and values by looking around at things, but keep in mind it's a two week wait to trade, and a lot of buyers are dicks that back out after wasting your time.
What are the differences?
ReplyDeleteWhat are the differences?
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean what are the differences? Do you mean the differences between the other Raider cards? If that's the question the difference is the % buff that they offer to damage against raid bosses.
DeleteOh sorry to be not specific but what's the difference between rob and marvel..
ReplyDeleteThere are a couple. Marvel only requires 2 cards to reach a final form. Marvel requires players to use a card in battles to 'master' it before evolution to hit the best stats.
DeleteOtherwise the main difference is Marvel has cards based on marvel heroes and heroines. There is also a lot less 'HP' inflation since they've watched their distribution of it form the get go. Rewards for current events are significantly better in comparison as well.
Would I make a bigger profit buying another one and perfect forming it? If so what would its price be?
ReplyDeleteCurrently in the game I think it would be more profitable to sell it without going final form. Perfect forming it would be very expensive to a newer player. A lot of players as well don't pay a huge increase at the moment for a final form since it only requires two cards to do it vs Rage of Bahamut's four+ card methods.
